Recipe :

  • Step 1 Boil the milk and add lemon juice

Put the milk on a high flame and let it boil. Then keep the flame medium and let the milk reduce to half. Then add the lemon juice.

  • Step 2 Let it curdle

Let the mixture curdle for a minute, then turn off the flame and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 3 Strain the paneer/chenna

Now, use a muslin cloth or fine mesh strainer to strain the paneer. Also pour 3-4 cups of water on it to get rid of the essence of lemon.

  • Step 4 Mix sugar and condensed milk

Now, take the paneer in a pan and add 6-8 tablespoon condensed milk to make the sweet dish tastier. Also add sugar at this step. You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar depending on how sweet you want the kalakand to be. Just mix it well for 4-5 minutes and then set it in a baking tray.

  • Step 5

Refrigerate for 1-2 hours and later cut into pieces. You can also garnish with nuts of your choice.
