Variyali Sharbat is known for its pain-relieving, digestion, and cooling benefits for your body. Fennel is a highly aromatic and flavorful herb with lots of medicinal uses. Variyali Sharbat is a healthy drink to beat the summer heat. It is a popular summer beverage in Gujarat. The seeds are usually used as a mouth freshener.
This recipe is a simple traditional drink recipe and very few ingredients go into its making. I made Variyali Sharbat Powder in bulk and stored it in a zip lock bag.
It remains fresh for up to 4 to 5 months in the refrigerator. Usually, Rock sugar (Mishri) is used to sweeten the drink. But I couldn’t find it in my area and hence used regular sugar.
You can further flavor the basic sharbat with lemon juice and mint leaves.
You can use this powder in water as well as in milk.
