Thai Steamed Fish Recipe

Step 1
Using a mortar and pestle, lightly pound the garlic, cilantro and green chilies until you have a coarse paste formed. Transfer this paste to a separate bowl and add lime juice, fish sauce, sugar and black pepper on top of it. Mix well with a spoon. Set aside.

Place a fish on the plate that will fit inside a steamer easily. Now, in a pot add water and bring it to boil over medium flame. Transfer the fish on plate to the steamer and set this steamer on the pot and pour chicken broth over the fish.

Cover it with a lid and steam the fish until it's cooked properly for about 12-15 minutes. Now transfer this fish to a large serving plate using a spatula. Pour this juice prepared in the first step over this fish and garnish with red chili flakes, lemon slices and mint leaves. Serve hot and enjoy.
