Rava Dhokla Recipe
Looking for an instant Dhokla recipe? Here's how you can make it at home. It gives a total different taste as well and will be ready in just 30 minutes. All you need is semolina flour and yoghurt and make a batter with baking soda, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Steam cook in a pressure cooker and put a tempering of mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida over the cooked dhokla.

Step 1 Soak semolina for 20 minutes
Take a bowl and mix rawa or semolina with fenugreek seeds, yoghurt and lemon juice. Use a little water for the right consistency and soak for 20 minutes.

Step 2 Heat water in a pressure cooker
Now, heat sufficient water in a pressure cooker and keep support net in it.

Step 3 Prepare the batter
After soaking the rawa, add salt, green chilli paste, cumin powder, sugar, baking soda, in the batter and mix well. Now, keep this batter in the cooker tiffin and keep this tiffin slowly in the cooker.

Step 4 Cook the dhokla for 20 minutes
Remove the whistle of the cooker and close the lid. Let the dhokla cook for 20 minutes.

Step 5 Prepare the tempering and pour over dhookla
Turn off the flame after that and ready the tempering. Put a frying pan over medium flame and add oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds with a little asafoetida and let them crackle. Once done, pour over the ready dhokla and sprinkle coriander leaves over the dhokla. Cut into pieces and serve the dhokla warm.
