Labra Recipe
In fact the true essence of Durga Puja is incomplete without a hearty MoolBhog, which is offered to the deity and imagining a bhog without Labra and Khichuri is next to impossible. It might look like the regular mixed vegetable to you; however, it has a unique taste that you can only get after a bite.

Step 1 Mix all vegetables and soak in water
To prepare this amazing side dish recipe, wash, peel and chop all the vegetables as desired. Next, mix together all the vegetables in a bowl with coconut, add water in it and keep aside.

Step 2 Mix the vegetables with spices
Heat oil in a pan over medium flame, and add bay leaves, panch phoran masala and green chillies. Wait for 2-3 minutes and then drain water from the vegetables. Now, turn the stove to high flame and add the vegetables in the pan. Mix well.

Step 3 Add salt, turmeric and coconut
Add salt and turmeric powder and let the mixture cook for 3-5 minutes on high flame. Once done lower the flame, and let the vegetables cook until they become soft. Once done, add sugar and coconut and mix well.

Step 4 Garnish and serve
Turn off the flame when done and garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve hot.
Tips :

To make the labra more yummy you can add cabbage.

To add a perfection taste to your labra make sure you add some ghee to it.

Adding chopped and fried coconut chunks can take the taste of labra up a notch.

Make sure the labra is not too dry this can change the taste of your dish.

You can also add some dal bori, small dal vadas made of chana dal.
