Pasta Verde Recipe
Pasta Verde is a delicious main dish recipe with refreshing flavours. Verde in Spanish means green colour which comes from basil leaves. Fresh basil leaves are blended with fresh cream, garlic to make a green sauce.

Step 1 Boil spaghetti pasta till al dente
To prepare this delicious pasta recipe, put a pan over medium flame and boil water in it. Put spaghetti in boiling water until 10 minutes. Don't throw the water once the pasta boils. Once done, keep aside the spaghetti pasta until required.

Step 2 Make cream basil sauce
Meanwhile, in a blender jar, add fresh cream, washed basil leaves, salt, and garlic. Pulse it together for about 30-40 seconds. Please do not over pulse as we don't want our cream to get lumpy.

Step 3 Prepare the gravy for pasta
On another burner, put a pan and add 2 ladles of pasta water in it, and bring it to a boil. Then, add the cream basil sauce in the pasta water and bring it to a boil.

Step 4 Toss pasta in creamy basil gravy
The pasta should be cooked by now. Add the thickened gravy in it and toss together.

Step 5 Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve hot
Once the pasta is done, start the plating. Transfer the pasta in a plate and sprinkle black pepper in it. Then drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil in it and spread parmesan cheese on the top, and serve immediately. (Note: We need to serve immediately as we don't want our cream to dry up the spaghetti.)
