Khirapat Recipe
Khirapat is a traditional sweet prepared in Maharshtrian households during festivities and celebratory events. It is typically distributed as prasad after worshiping the Gods and Goddesses, but can be prepared otherwise as a sweet snack as well. Khirapat is an easy to make dish that requires almost no effort or preparations. Made with fruits like dried berries and coconuts along with almonds, cashews and raisins, Khirapat is a sweet dish that will be loved by all members of the family as well as provide them with a lot of health benefits.

Step 1 Roast coconuts and roast
To prepare this sweet delight, grate the coconut and roast it lightly for 2-3 minutes. Keep aside for further use.

Step 2 Dry dates and prepare powder
Now, dry the dates by roasting them on low flame. Add them in a grinder and prepare a coarse powder.

Step 3 Dry roast almond and cashews
Next, heat pan over medium flame and dry roast chopped almonds and cashews. Keep aside for further use.

Step 4 Mix all ingredients and serve
Finally, in a bowl add the roasted coconut, date powder, roasted almonds and cashews, raisins, cardamom powder and sugar powder. Mix all the ingredients well to combine together. Transfer in a serving dish and serve.
