In this main dish recipe, the minced meatballs are first shallow fried and then added into the yoghurt-based curry.

Ingredients:
Recipe :
-
Step 1 Make a dough of minced meat
Make a smooth dough of very fine minced meat and add onion, fresh coriander leaves, green chillies, onions and besan.
-
Step 2 Fry the sliced onion and make a powder when they are super crispy
Heat oil in a pot. Once the oil is hot enough, add very finely sliced onions and fry till they turn golden brown. Take them out on a plate and let them sit till they cool down a bit. Once they become crispy, crush them into powder using your hands.
-
Step 3 Prepare the gravy for keema kofta
Use the oil already in the pot and add the ginger-garlic paste in it and all the dry masalas with just two spoons of water so that the masala doesn’t burn. Add whisked yoghurt and mix well. Saute for 5 minutes.
-
Step 4 Make balls of minced mutton
Now, make small balls out of the finely minced mutton and add one by one. Add the crushed onion powder to it. Now, without using the ladle, carefully stir the mix by rotating the pot so that the kofta does not stick to the bottom and ladle isn’t used so that the kofta stays intact as they’re tender.
-
Step 5 Cook the kofta for 15 minutes
Cover the pot and add water if needed. Let it simmer for 15 minutes at low flame. Once done, garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Serve with Khamiri Roti or Naan, and enjoy!
