Shakarpara Recipe Gujarati Style ( Diwali Indian snack) | How to make Shakarpara  in Gujarati

Shakarpara – also known as Shankarpali is a famous bite-size Indian snack that’s a MUST on the festival of Holi/Diwali. They are fried hand then dipped in a sugar syrup to coat them evenly. It’s extremely popular in Western/Northern India and perfects to accompany tea/coffee.  

Shakkarpara is the diamond-shaped sweet snack of crispy, flaky, fried flour cookies coated with crystallized sugar. Try my authentic Punjabi recipe to make this delish snack that you can munch upon at any time!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of Meda

  • 4tp Spoon of Suger Powder

  • 3tp Spoon of Ghee

  • 3  Cup Of Oil ( For Fry Shakarpara)

સામગ્રી: 

  • 1 કપ મેંદો

  • 4 ચમચી દરેલી ખાંડ

  • 3  ચમચી ઘી

  • 3 કપ તેલ (શક્કરપારા તળવા માટે)

Tips:

  • Fry Shakarpara's between medium to low flame for them to cook evenly from outside and inside.

  • Shankarpali's will firm after cooling down.

  • For baked Shakarpara's, bake them until the edges are golden brown. They will continue to cook after baking with residual heat.

  • Over baking will harden them. They will firm up once cooled.
