  • Step 1 Shred the soaked potatoes and make a cheela mixture

    To prepare this scrumptious indulgence, peel the potatoes and rinse them nicely. Soak them in a pot full of water for 2-3 hours, and shred the potatoes out using a grater. Put these grated potatoes in a medium-sized mixing bowl and mix chopped coriander, green chillies, black pepper. Mix well using a spoon and keep the mixture aside.

  • Step 2 Cook the potato cheela over a medium flame and serve

    Preheat ghee in a flat bottomed frying pan. After the ghee is hot enough, scoop out some potato mixture and spread it onto the pan in a round shape with a thickness of about half a centimetre. Over a medium flame, cook the cheela for around 2 to 3 minutes. After the bottom side of the cheela turns golden brown, flip it over and cook the other side as well until you notice brown spots all over the surface. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy immediately with any chutney and garnishments of your choice.
