  • Step 1

    Start by combining the egg yolk , 2 tablespoon of sugar and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Whisk it until it turns frothy. Now, place a pan over low flame and let it heat up, Once hot, add the cream to it. Keep stirring it and once it starts to thicken, take it off the flame. Next, pour the egg yolk mix in this pan and give it a stir. In the mean time, preheat the oven at 140 degrees Celsius.

    Now, set up a double boiler by placing a pan with water over medium flame and let it boil. Now place a glass bowl over the pan and add the cream mix to it. Keep on whisking the cream to save it from burning. Once it achieves the desired consistency, take it off the flame and place this bowl in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Bake the custard and when it is ready, take it out of the oven. Place it in the fridge to cool down.

    Now, combine the remaining sugar and brown sugar in a small bowl and using s sieve, drizzle it on top of the chilled custard. Using a blow torch, melt the sprinkled sugar and then place this in the fridge. Serve this sweet dessert chilled to enjoy!
