Step 1
Start by placing a pan over medium flame and Heat oil in in it. Once the oil is hot, add chopped ginger along with crushed garlic and saute for a couple of minutes. Now, add chopped onions along with chopped green chillies to it and saute all the ingredients until the mixture turns aromatic and onions are tender. Now. sprinkle the dried fenugreek leaves, garam masala powder, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, salt and black pepper in it. Mix it well and make sure that all the ingredients are evenly coated with spices.

Once done, remove from heat and allow it to cool. Now, in a bowl, mix the onion mixture with wheat flour and add the required amount of water to it. Now, knead a soft dough. Once done, set aside for some time and let it rest.

Now, take equal round portions from the dough and roll out into a disc shape using a rolling pin. Next, place a pan over medium flame and add a little oil in it. Once it is hot, one by one, place the rolled out theplas to it. Cook each thepla until they turn crisp and brown. Once done, transfer them onto a plate and serve hot with chilled curd or chutney, enjoy!
