Ingredients:
Recipe :
-
Step 1 Cook broken wheat or dalia in a pressure cooker
Take a pressure cooker and put it over medium flame. Add broken wheat to it along with enough water. Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame. Then, let another whistle come on low flame. After that switch it off and let it cool. If the grains are bigger in size, you can take three whistles in medium flame and then one whistle in low flame.
-
Step 2 Cook dalia with milk
Once it cools, open the lid and add milk in the pressure cooker. Stir well and cook over medium flame. Keep stirring with the milk. Make sure it doesn't stick on the bottom. Keep scratching the milk cream from the sides.
-
Step 3 Cook this mixture for 5-7 mixture until milk thickens
As you stir the milk, it will continue to thicken and absorbed by the broken wheat. Keep doing this till the milk is mostly absorbed and is reasonably thickened. Might take 5-7 mins.
-
Step 4 Add sugar and cook for another 3-5 minutes
Once it is thickened, add sugar and dry fruits and stir for another 3-5 mins.
-
Step 5 Serve with fruits
Once it is ready, serve it with fresh fruits as toppings. (Note: If you have Hershey’s strawberry/chocolate, you can spread that as well to get different flavours. If you have ghee (Indian ghee), then can add one spoon of that as well in the serving.)
