Bengali Crispy Fish Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 large fish fillets
  • 2 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup bread crumbs
  • black salt as required
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup green chilli
  • salt as required
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Recipe :

  • Step 1

    Wash the fish fillets and cut them into thick slices. Now, take the thickly sliced fish fillets and squeeze lemon juice on the top along with some salt. Keep aside for a while. Take a separate bowl, and add ginger garlic paste, onion juice, cilantro, green chilli paste and garam masala powder. Pour this mixture over the fish fillets.

  • Step 2

    Leave the fillets covered with the mixture overnight. Take eggs, corn flour and some water in a bowl to make a thick consistent batter. Take each fillet and dip in the egg and corn flour batter, and coat with breadcrumbs all over.

  • Step 3

    Take a medium sized pan, and pour oil for deep frying. Dip the fish fillets and fry until they turn crisp and brown. Sprinkle black salt over the fish, and serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise.
