Step 1 Grate and squeeze the juice of a beetroot
To prepare this amazing snack recipe, clean, peel and grate the beetroots in a large bowl. Then, squeeze and remove the juice from the grated beetroot in another bowl and keep aside.

Step 2 Grind all the ingredients
In a grinder jar, add roasted chana, peeled garlic cloves, red chillies, fennel seeds along with salt. Grind together into a smooth paste. Add the beetroot juice extracted (step 1) to make the paste smooth. (Note: If needed, add more water to make a fine paste.)

Step 3 Make the mixture for Beetroot Kola
Next, add finely chopped onion to the jar along with grated beetroot and grind once again. This will make your mixture for Beetroot Kola. Once done, transfer to a bowl and then grease your hand a little. Take a little mixture and form into a ball and place it on a plate. Make more such balls until you are finished with the mixture.

Step 4 Deep fry the kolas and serve hot
Now, put a kadhai over medium flame and heat oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough, add the prepared beetroot balls one by one and deep fry them in batches. Once fried, place them on a tissue paper so as to remove extra oil and serve hot with ketchup.
