These fried vadas (fritters) are made with sabudana (sago) and require only a handful of ingredients. Very addictive, vegan, gluten-free, and can also be made for fasting.
During the fasting time of Navratri, my dad kept fast for all 9 days. These crunchy vadas are made with sabudana (sago), potatoes, and peanuts! They are very lightly seasoned but taste amazing.

Ingredients:
- 400Gram of Boil Potato
- 1 Cup of sago pearls (Sabudana)
- 2 Cup of Crushed peanuts Powder
- 2tp Spoon Ginger Green Chilli Pest
- 2tp Spoon Lemon Juice
- 1tp Spoon Sugar
- 1/2tp Spoon Turmeric
- Red Chilli Powder(As Per Test)
- Salt (As Per Test)
- 1/2tp Spoon Garam Masala
- Coriander Leaves (As Per Your Choice)
- 1/2tp Spoon Arrowroot
- Oil (For Deep Fry)
સામગ્રી:
- 400 ગ્રામ બાફેલા બટાટા
- 1 કપ સાબુદાણા
- 2 કપ શીંગ દાણા નો ભૂકો
- 2 ચમચી આદુ લીલા મરચા ની પેસ્ટ
- 2 ચમચી લીંબુનો રસ
- 1 ચમચી ખાંડ
- 1/2 ચમચી હળદર
- લાલ મરચું પાવડર (ટેસ્ટ મુજબ)
- મીઠું (ટેસ્ટ મુજબ)
- 1/2 ચમચી ગરમ મસાલા
- કોથમીર (તમારી પસંદગી મુજબ)
- 1 / 2 ચમચી આરાનો લોટ
- તેલ (તળવા માટે)
Sabudana Vada can be made for Hindu fasting days or an evening snack too. It is crispy and delicious and thus tastes great with simple coconut chutney and even sweetened curd (yoghurt). To make the sweetened curd, you will just need to add some sugar to the curd and mix it. If short of time, you can even serve with sweet tamarind chutney or homemade tomato ketchup.
