Dhokla is known to be a pretty healthy dish. However, this dhokla is super-delicious and healthier than any other dhokla recipe. This dhokla is made from a batter of oats, gram flour, ginger and curd and salt.

  • Step 1 Make a batter for dhokla

    To prepare this recipe, make a batter using oats powder, salt, curd and besan. Mix and keep aside for an hour. Add ginger and baking powder, and mix well.

  • Step 2 Steam the dhokla batter

    Now, grease a thali and pour dhokla batter in it and steam till done in a steamer, and set.

  • Step 3 Prepare the tempering

    To prepare the tempering, heat oil in a pan. Next, add mustard seeds, chopped green chillies and 2 tsp of water.

  • Step 4 Pour tempering over dhokla and cut into pieces

    Pour the prepared tempering over dhokla and cut into square pieces and serve.

Tips :

  • To make powdered oats, roast them in a pan for 2-3 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer. You can use this oats powder for making any dish.
