Mourala fish pakora is a traditional Bengali dish. It is prepared with Mourala, which is a small fresh water fish found in India and Bangladesh. This tasty snack can be served either as a starter or for snacks.

Step 1 Marinate the fishes
First, take out the skin of the fish and wash it properly. Add the fish to a bowl and add turmeric, red chilli powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, rice flour, besan, salt and mix everything well. Make sure the fishes are well coated with the marinade and leave it aside for 20 minutes.

Step 2 Cook and serve
Now heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated fishes. Cook from both sides until golden brown. Once cooked and crispy, garnish with coriander leaves. Transfer to a serving plate and serve the fish pakoras with some chutney on the side.
