  • Step 1 Prepare a corn paste

    To prepare this lip-smacking breakfast recipe, first, in a grinder, add sweet corn and grind it to paste. You will need to prepare a coarse mixture. Now, transfer this corn mix in a bowl.

  • Step 2 Prepare the cheela batter

    In the bowl, with corn, add gram flour, chopped green chillies, chopped onions, salt and grated ginger. Now adding little water at a time, mix everything together. You should get a thick batter.

  • Step 3 Roast the cheelas

    Now, heat a pan over medium flame and pour 3-4 drops of oil on it. Once the pan heats, add a ladleful of batter on the pan and spread in a circular manner (similar to dosa). Let the cheela cook for a minute, and when the bottom turns brown and appears crisp, flip and cook on the other side.

  • Step 4 Serve hot

    Transfer the cooked cheelas in a serving dish. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney or any other sauce.
