Kebab-e-Kela Recipe

Step 1 Dice the raw bananas
To prepare this recipe, start by taking the raw bananas and peel them. Using a clean chopping board, dice them up and then chop up the coriander leaves and green chillies.

Step 2 Steam the chopped bananas
Now, take a steamer basket with very little water and steam the bananas, black cardamom, and ginger till they are soft and cooked. Allow them to cool down.

Step 3 Mash the steamed bananas and use it for making dough
When they are cool enough, mash the bananas and add all the spices along with the buckwheat flour, lemon juice, and coriander leaves. Mix them well to form a dough. Finally, add in the green chillis and fold it in the dough.

Step 4 Make balls of the banana dough and fry them
Divide the dough into small balls and shape them into cylindrical tikkis. Now, take a pan over medium flame and heat a little ghee in it. When the ghee is hot enough, place the kebabs on the pan and fry them till they turn brown from both sides.

Step 5 Enjoy the banana kebabs
Transfer the fried kebabs to a plate lined with absorbent paper and then to a serving plate. Enjoy the delicious Kebab-e-Kela!
