Step 1 Boil and mash the unripe bananas
To prepare this easy recipe, put a pressure cooker over medium flame and add raw bananas in it. Add enough water and close the lid. Cook for about 3 whistles. When done, turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool. When cooled slightly, peel the bananas and mash them in a bowl.
-
Step 2 Knead a fine dough and make the filling
For the filling, take a bowl and add boiled peas, mashed bananas, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice, sugar, green chillies. Mix well all the ingredients to make the filling. Now, take a dough kneading plate and add refined flour, a little salt and 1/2 tsp carom seeds. Mix well and then add water as required for making a hard dough. When done, cover it with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
-
Step 3 Make puris of the dough and cut into half, add filling and close
Now, make small balls out of the dough and roll them into puris. Cut the puris into halves and put 1 tablespoon of banana mixture in it. Enclose the puri completely in a triangular form. Ensure that the mixture is not coming outside. In a similar way, make other triangular samosas as well with the remaining dough.
-
Step 4 Deep fry the samosas
When done, heat refined oil in a deep bottomed non-stick pan. When the oil is hot enough, deep fry the samosas one by one until they become golden brown in colour. Finally, transfer the samosa in a serving plate and serve with any chutney of your choice. Enjoy!
