  • Step 1 Saute spices, onion, chilly and ginger-garlic paste

    In a pan, heat oil on medium flame. Then, add cumin seeds and chopped garlic, and saute. Add chopped onions, chopped green chilly and fry. Then, add ginger and garlic paste and saute.

  • Step 2 Mix spices and add tomato puree

    Next, add turmeric powder to the pan along with all spices. Chop 2 green tomatoes and make puree of the other 2 green tomatoes. Add tomato puree to the pan and stir often

  • Step 3 Add tomato cubes and cook

    Add tomato cubes to the pan and saute. Then, add water and bring it to the boil to adjust consistency. Add salt to taste and squeeze lemon juice in it. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  • Step 4 Add fried vadi to the dish and serve
