Chicken Shumai Recipe
Shumai or Siu Mai is a famous Chinese snack that has now become famous all over the world after sushi. For those of you who are not familiar, this is an open dim sum served at many Chinese restaurants.

Step 1 Prepare wonton wrappers
Take the flour in a bowl and add a pinch of salt with 3/4th cup of warm water and mix everything well. Use as less water as possible to form a semi-stiff, smooth dough. Keep it aside to rest for 20-25 minutes covered in a damp cloth. Knead again until the dough is completely smooth. Now make dough balls out of it and roll them out as much as possible. We are looking for thin sheets. With the help of a shape cutter, cut either round or square sheets out. Keep applying flour wherever necessary.

Step 2 Mix minced chicken with chopped veggies
Take a bowl and add minced chicken to it. Add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix until everything is well combined. Remember to chop all the vegetables finely before adding them to the chicken.

Step 3 Wrap, cook and serve
Take one wonton wrapper or momo wrapper and place 1 tbsp of filling on it. Start wrapping it by forming pleats on top but remember to not close it all the way. You can choose to decorate it however you like, with chopped spring onion greens, or chilli sauce or even with green pea. Steam them for 10-15 minutes and serve!
