Kurkuri Chakli Recipe
A perfect dish that goes well with your evening tea and also as a standalone snack, chakli is also an important snack on Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi. Made with rice flour, besan, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, carrom seeds and sesame seeds, chakli gets its crispy and crunchy exterior by deep-frying.

Step 1
In a bowl, take rice flour, besan, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, sesame seeds, carom seeds and butter. Add water in batches and mix it well to form a dough.

The dough should be medium in structure, neither hard nor soft.

In a kadhai heat the oil and will some dough in the chakli maker. Now press on it and drop round chaklis in the hot oil.

Deep fry chakli for at least 5 to 6 mins from both sides.

Once crispy, they are ready to be served. You can also store it in an airtight jar for later usage.
