Bengali-style Chicken Pakoda Recipe

A special Bengali delicacy, Chicken Pakoda is famous all over India for its delicious taste. Apart from being scrumptious in taste, it is also easy to make with some basic kitchen ingredients. All that you need is some gram flour and chicken boiled in turmeric and saltwater.

  • Step 1 Boil the chicken and prepare a dough

    First, wash the boneless chicken twice with turmeric powder and salt added in the water and keep it aside. Boil the chicken in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles. Once it is done, let it cool down completely. Transfer the chicken to a plate and mash the chicken using a masher. Along with all the spices, add green chilly, ginger and garlic paste, gram flour, rice flour, baking powder, chopped onion, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves and salt. Mix it well and add little water to make a smooth dough. Give shapes of your choice to the pakodas using the dough.

  • Step 2 Preheat the air fryer

    Preheat air fryer 200 degrees Celsius for five minutes. Oil the basket carefully using a brush and arrange the cutlets in the basket. Remember to not overcrowd the basket and let it cook for 15 minutes or until fully done.

  • Step 3 Serve with some ketchup!

    Take out the basket carefully and serve along with some tomato ketchup.
