Toasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon lemon peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon spice chili powder
  • 2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil/ rapeseed oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe :

  • Step 1

    To prepare the oven for the process, line the tray with a piece of foil and coat it with canola oil. Keep it aside. Put the oven on 200 degrees Celsius.

  • Step 2

    Take a medium mixing bowl and pour the egg white into it. Subsequently, add sugar, oil, lemon peel, kosher salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper to whisk it until egg white is frothy and sugar is nearly dissolved.

  • Step 3

    Put the seeds in the mixture and toss them lightly to coat the seeds properly.

  • Step 4

    Carefully, pour the pumpkin seeds on the baking sheet prepared. Spread the seeds evenly, so that they are evenly roasted. Toss them in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Once baked completely, the pumpkin seeds will be completely dry and crisp. Remove them from the oven and break them into pieces once cooled. Your pumpkin seeds are roasted.
