Potato Ema Datshi Recipe
Ema Datshi is a popular dish of Bhutanese cuisine and is also recognized as the national dish of Bhutan. As compared to Indian cuisine, the Bhutanese cuisine is very similar and includes a lot of chillies in preparations. Potato Ema Datshi is one such dish and is prepared using cheese, onion, tomato, and capsicum.

Step 1
To prepare this easy recipe, put a pan over medium flame and heat butter in it. Once the butter is melted, add sliced potatoes along with a pinch of salt in the pan and toss for a minute.

Then, add sliced onion, tomato and ginger-garlic paste in the pan and give them a quick toss. Cook for 2-3 minutes and then add water in the pan. Season them with salt. Cover and cook until the vegetables become tender. Add green chillies in the pan in the end.

After all the vegetables becomes tender, turn off the flame and add the grated cheese in the gravy. Let it melt in the residual heat and serve over a bed of red or white rice. Enjoy!
