Perad Recipe
For the love of guavas, try Perad because it is worth drooling over a dessert like this one. Perad is made with pink guava, blended well with butter and sugar along with a tinge of lime juice making your dessert scrumptious and lip-smacking.

Step 1
To begin with, take pink guavas, wash them under running water and chop them further into pieces. Next, place a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame, put the guava pieces in it along with 3 cups of water and boil until tender. Then, transfer the boiled pieces in a blender and blend until smooth.

Next, make the paste go through a sieve in order to remove it's seeds. Once done, put the fine paste in a pan and heat on medium flame in order to thicken it.

Make sure to keep stirring it to prevent the guava paste stick to the bottom of the pan. Add sugar to the pan. Once it starts to darken, add lime juice along with butter and mix well.

Once you get the desired consistency, immediately turn off the flame and and transfer the thick paste in a container, spreading it evenly. Next, put the same in the refrigerator for about an hour. Take out once it is set and is completely firm. Cut it into shapes and serve chilled.
