Prepare it for breakfast or supper or whenever you like eating. As the name reflects, this recipe is a specialty of Surat.

This healthy and light dish can be served along with a steaming cup of tea or coffee or whenever you crave eating something light. Just a few basic ingredients and you have yummy and sumptuous surti locho ready. Making surti locho is really easy and the method is just the same as for preparing dhokla. 

Ingredients :

  • 1 Cup Of Chana Dal
  • 1tp Spoon Adad Dal
  • Water ( For Boil)
  • 2tp Spoon Yogurt
  • 2tp Spoon Green Chilli And Ginger Pest
  • Pinch Of Asafoetida Powder
  • 1/2tp Spoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 Glass Water
  • Oil ( For Greasing)
  • 1/4tp Spoon Cooking Soda
  • Red Chilli Powder ( For Sprinkle)

For Making Masala:

  • 1/2tp Spoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/2tp Spoon Black Salt
  • 1/2tp Spoon Black Paper Powder
  • 1/2tp Spoon Chat Masala
  • 1/2tp Spoon Red Chilli Powder

For Garnishing :

  • Locha Masala
  • Besan Sev
  • Butter
  • Coriander Leaves

સામગ્રી:

  • 1 કપ ચણાની દાળ
  • 1/4 ચમચી અડદ દાળ
  • પાણી (પલાળવા )
  • 2  ચમચી દહીં
  • 2 ચમચી લીલા મરચા અને આદુ પેસ્ટ
  • ચપટી હિંગ
  • 1/2 ચમચી હળદર
  • 1/2 ગ્લાસ પાણી
  • તેલ (ગ્રીસિંગ માટે)
  • 1/4 ચમચી રસોઈ સોડા
  • લાલ મરચું પાવડર 

મસાલો બનાવવા:

  • 1/2 ચમચી શેકેલા જીરું પાવડર
  • 1/2 ચમચી સંચળ
  • 1/2  ચમચી કાળા મરી નો પાવડર
  • 1/2  ચમચી ચેટ મસાલા
  • 1/2 ચમચી લાલ મરચા પાવડર

સુશોભન માટે:

  • લોચા મસાલા
  • બેસન સેવ
  • બટર
  • કોથમીર

Notes:

  • The consistency of the batter is the key, so make sure it is perfect.
  • You can store locho masala in an airtight container for months.
