Gujarati Farsan Khandvi Gujarati Style Recipe

Khandvi, a popular Gujarati snack that is also served for breakfast in Gujarati households. Made with Gram flour, it is later tempered with a green chili tadka. Here is how to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Cup of Buttermilk
  • 1 Cup of Gram Flour
  • Salt (As Per Test)
  • Pinch Of Lemon Salt
  • 1/2Cup of Water

For Tempering:

  • 2tp Spoon Oil
  • 1tp Spoon mustard seeds
  • 1tp Spoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Piece of Chopped Green Chilli
  • 5 to 7 Pieces Of Curry Leaves
  • 1tp Spoon sesame seeds

For Garnishing:

  • Grated  Dry Coconut
  • Coriander Leaves

સામગ્રી:

  • 3 કપ છાશ
  • 1 કપ ગ્રામ લોટનો 
  • મીઠું (પરીક્ષણ મુજબ)
  • ચપટી લીંબુ ના ફૂલ
  •  1/2 કપ પાણી

વઘાર માટે:

  • 2 ચમચી તેલ
  • 1 ચમચી રાય
  • 1 ચમચી જીરું 
  • 1 નંગ કાપેલું લીલી મરચું
  • 5 થી 7 નંગ મીઠો લીમડા ના પાંદડા
  • 1 ચમચી તલ

સુશોભન માટે:

  • સુકા નાળિયેર નું છીણ 
  • કોથમીર

Tips:

  • Khandvi goes best with coriander chutney, coriander mint chutney, or garlic chutney.
  • Don't cook the Khandvi batter for too long. If the mixture thickens, the layers will become thick as well.
  • Spread the khandvi batter over the greased surface as quickly & swiftly as possible for thin layers. If cooled, the batter will become lumpy.
