Take butter and sugar in a bowl. Mix them together until fluffy.

Now add milk and vanilla extract to the bowl. Again combine well.

In the same bowl, sieve flour, custard powder and baking soda. Mix well until combined.

Now prepare a baking tin by either lining it with a baking paper or greasing with some oil. Pour the cake batter in the tray.
