This mouth-watering soup recipe is prepared using the paste of moong dal, which is further cooked and seasoned with ingredients like sugar, asafoetida, cumin seeds along with a tinge of lemon juice in order to give much freshness to the dish.

Step 1
To make this soup recipe, place a deep-bottomed pan over a medium flame. Add moong dal, salt and turmeric with enough water and boil it until it becomes tender.

Once it is done, transfer it in a blender and blend until it turns into a smooth paste.

Next, heat ghee over medium flame. Once heated, add cumin seeds along with asafoetida. When it starts crackling then add moong paste, sugar, lemon juice along with salt and black pepper according to your taste. Stir well and allow it to boil for 4 minutes.

Keep stirring it ocassionally. Meanwhile, take a chopping board and chop paneer finely. Once done, add it to the prepared mixture and stir again for 3 minutes.

Finally, transfer the soup to a serving dish and garnish it with coriander leaves.
