Rajma masala recipe is so easy to prepare and it goes perfectly with rice. Rajma chawal is also healthy as it contains good quality carbohydrates and proteins. With our Punjabi rajma chawal recipe, you can delight your friends and family! This popular dish is loved by people of all age groups. Rajma Chawal is perfect for a Sunday brunch or on a get-together. It is cooked by using easily available ingredients like rajma (kidney beans) rice, onions, tomatoes, and a selection of spices. This Rajma recipe is a lightly spiced, creamy, and delicious Punjabi curry made with kidney beans, onions, tomatoes, and spices. This is my mom’s recipe of making this famous and truly restaurant style Punjabi Rajma Masala.

Ingredient:

For Bowling Of Rajama:

  • 1 Bowl of Rajama

  • 1Pinch of Cooking Soda

  • 1/2tp Spoon Salt

For Making a Subji:

  • 2tp Spoon Butter

  • 1tp Spoon Oil

  • 1 Piece of Bay leaf 

  • 2  Pieces of Cloves

  • 1tp Spoon Ginger Garlic Pest

  • 1/2tp Spoon Turmeric

  • Red Chilli Powder (As Per Test)

  • 1tp Spoon Coriander - Cumin Seeds Powder

  • 1/2tp Spoon  asafoetida powder

  • 1/2tp Spoon Garam Masala

  • Gravy Of 4 Tomatoes

  • Salt ( As Per Test)

  •  Coriander leaves ( For Garnishing)

સામગ્રી:

રાજમા બાફવા માટે:

  • 1 બાઉલ રાજમા 

  • 1 ચપટી કુકિંગ સોડા 

  • 1/2 ચમચી મીઠું

શાક બનાવવા માટે:

  • 2 ચમચી માખણ

  • 1 ચમચી તેલ

  • તજ 1 ટુકડો

  • લવિંગના 2 ટુકડા

  • 1 ચમચી આદુ લસણનીપેસ્ટ

  • 1/2 ચમચી હળદર

  • લાલ મરચું પાવડર (ટેસ્ટ મુજબ)

  • 1 ચમચી ધાણાજીરું પાવડર

  • 1/2 ચમચી હીંગ પાવડર

  • 1/2 ચમચી ગરમ મસાલા

  • 4 ટામેટાંની ગ્રેવી

  • મીઠું (સ્વાદ અનુસાર)

  • કોથમીર (સુશોભન માટે)

Tips:

Serve rajma chawal with some onion slices and lemon wedges for a perfect lunch. You can also cook the rajma in an instant pot with 1 cup of water. Make sure you rinse the rajma properly before pressure cooking them. You can make a tomato puree with 2 tbsp cooked rajma for a thicker gravy.
