Modak is a sweet dumpling usually made with coconut and jaggery inside. In Marathi, it is called Modak, and in Tamil, it is Modakam or sometimes it is called Kozhukattai. Now there are multiple versions of Modaks are available at shops and particularly during this season of Vinayaka Chaturthi thousands and thousands of Modak are prepared distributed to the devotees of this elephant-headed deity. Here I have come up with my version of Modak with paneer and oreo biscuits. Apart from the ingredients, this recipe requires a Modak mold to shape the Modaks.
Modak is a dessert that is prepared by Hindus on the festival of holy Ganesh Chaturthi (on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Ganesh) in the worship of Lord Ganesh. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is incomplete without any flavor of Modak because Lord Ganesh loves Modak. People usually make it for puja and serve as prasad after completing rituals. You can easily prepare this tasty chocolate modak in 15 minutes at home without taking anybody’s help. It is no cook no mess recipe without lighting the gas stove very low and cheap price.
Ingredients:
- 1 Packet Of Orio Biscuit
- 3tp Spoon Fresh Malai
For Stuffing:
- 1tp Spoon Chopped Cashew And Almond
- 2tp Spoon Dry Crushed Coconut
- Dry Crushed Coconut (For Garnishing)

- 1 પેકેટ ઓરીયો બિસ્કીટ
- 3 ચમચી તાજી મલાઈ
સ્ટફિંગ માટે:
- 1 ચમચી અદલાબદલી કાજુ અને બદામ
- 2 ચમચી સુકા નાળિયેર નું છીણ
- સુકા નાળિયેર નું છીણ (સુશોભન માટે)
Storage Instructions:
- This recipe can be stored for up to 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
- Serve this in puja and for lunch or dinner as a dessert.
