Bread Biryani Recipe

Bread  Biryani is one of the tasty variety rice recipes which is filled with the goodness of veggies, toasted bread pieces, and coconut milk. The recipe is the same as biryani but instead of water we use fresh coconut milk and add toasted bread pieces.

  • Step 1

    To make this delicious biryani recipe, take a pan and heat it over moderate flame. Dry roast cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon in the pan and grind these ingredients to a fine powder in a blender. Now heat little ghee in the same pan over moderate flame and fry the basmati rice for about 30-45 seconds. Once done, remove from the flame and transfer the rice to a separate bowl.

    Then add a little ghee again to the pan again and fry the bread pieces till crisp. Once done, keep the bread slices aside in a bowl. Now grind the almonds, cashew nuts, coconut, and gasa gasa to a smooth paste. Heat a little ghee in a pressure cooker. Add the cinnamon powder, ginger garlic paste, onions, salt, and curry leaves.

    Saute well for a minute or two. Add the radish, carrot, and green peas. Stir well and add the coconut milk. Bring to a boil and then add the rice and pressure cook till 2 whistles. Once done, add the cumin powder, pepper powder, bread slices, coriander leaves and mix well. Transfer the biryani to a serving bowl and serve it with raita of your choice.
