  • Step 1 Prepare the masala paste

    To prepare this exotic seafood dish, first add garlic, ginger, green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, coriander powder, vinegar and cumin powder in a mixer-grinder. To this add water and salt. Now, blend the mix to form a paste.

  • Step 2 Slit the fish and apply the masala

    Next, slit the fish from the centre using a knife and apply the prepared masala on to the fish, apply generously inside out.

  • Step 3 Refrigerate the marinaded fish for 30 minutes

    Refrigerate the fish and leave it in the masala marinade for 30 minutes. Do not disturb the mix for proper marination .

  • Step 4 Fry the fish

    Once done, heat oil in a pan and add the fish to it. Cook the fish on both sides shallow frying it. Cook for 5-10 minutes, flipping sides.

  • Step 5 Garnish and serve hot

    Transfer in a serving dish, garnish with coriander seeds and slit green chillies, and serve it hot.
