Sweet and Sour Lemon Pickle Recipe

Made in a jiffy with minimal ingredients, this tangy pickle will give you a sweet, sour and spicy flavour, all at once. You can increase the quantity of ingredients if you are making the pickle in large quantities.

Step 1
Firstly, wash the lemons properly and dry them with a kitchen napkin. Cut them into small pieces/cubes and take out the seeds.

Grind them coarsely in a blender. Just one blend is enough for the it.

Now in a pan, dry roast fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander powder and cumin seeds powder. Cool it down and coarsely grind all the dry ingredients.

Now heat oil in a kadhai. Once the oil is hot. Add the coarsely grinded masala. Saute it for few minutes. Then add crushed lemons. Cook it till the lemons become tender. Then add jaggery, salt, black pepper and red chilli powder. Cook till the jaggery dissolves and lemons are property coated.

Transfer to a serving bowl. Decorate with lemon slices and serve. You can store the rest of the pickle in an airtight jar.
