  • Step 1

    Start by adding all the soaked lentils in an open vessel with enough amount of water and place it on medium flame. Let them cook and once done, drain the water and transfer the lentils in a bowl. Meanwhile, heat another pan with ghee over medium flame and add cumin, asafoetida, cloves and green cardamom in it. Once the seeds start to crackle, add a little water and pieces of broken red chili, then saute well for a couple of minutes.

    Now, add the cooked lentil mix to this pan and stir for 2-4 minutes. Let the lentils cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes and then add garam masala powder, turmeric powder along with salt as per your taste. Once the desired consistency is attained, transfer it in a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves along with slit green chilies. Serve it hot with rice or chapattis, enjoy!
