Dal Pakwan Recipe
Dal Pakwan is a popular Sindhi dish which is traditionally enjoyed in breakfast. As a matter of fact, this dish is made without using onion-garlic and is super-amazing in taste. With a little tangy taste and a crispy roti which is known as pakwan, this delicious Sindhi dish can be eaten anytime.

Step 1 Pressure cook chana dal
Put a pressure cooker over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add curry leaves, cumin seeds and green chillies. When they crackle, add soaked chana dal and stir well. Then, add salt to taste and turmeric powder along with enough water to soak the dal. Stir well and close the cooker. Slow down the flame and cook for a whistle and then cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2 Add amchur powder in dal
Once the dal is done, let the pressure release on its own. Then sprinkle dry mango powder over it with a little bit of red chilli powder, and stir well.

Step 3 Knead dough for Pakwan
For the pakwan, add flour in a dough kneading plate and add salt in it with a 1 teaspoon of oil. Mix well and use enough water to knead the dough.

Step 4 Roll rotis with this dough
Pinch a little dough and using a little oil, roll the dough in rotis. Repeat the procedure till the dough is finished. Then, prick with a fork so that they don't blow up.

Step 5 Fry the Puris
Now, put a kadhai over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add rotis one by one and deep fry them. Keep pressing with a spoon and fry till they are golden brown in colour. Serve hot with tangy dal.
