How to play Clumsy Bird
- 1 Click, tap or press the space bar to make the bird flap upwards.
- 2 Do nothing and it falls. The whole game is those two facts.
- 3 Steer through the gap in each pair of pipes to score a point.
- 4 Touching a pipe or the ground ends the run.
About Clumsy Bird
Clumsy Bird is a one-button arcade game: a single tap lifts the bird, gravity does everything else. There is nothing to learn and a great deal to get wrong.
The trick is rhythm rather than reaction. Players who tap steadily and let the bird settle between flaps get much further than players who panic-tap at every pipe — the bird gains height fast and loses it slowly, so over-flapping is what usually kills a run.
It is built on melonJS and released as open source, so the whole thing is yours to read.
