  • Step 1 Prepare the tempering for moong usal

    Soak green beans in water for 8 hours. Next, put a pan over medium flame and heat ghee in it. When the ghee is hot enough, add cumin seeds in it along with chopped green chillies and curry leaves.

  • Step 2 Fry the moon beans

    Now, add green beans and saute well. Then, add salt and water in the pan and cook until the beans are soft.

  • Step 3 Cook beans with jaggery and coconut

    Once the moong beans are cooked, add grated jaggery and coconut, and mix well. Cook for 2 more minutes and then add cardamom in it. Stir to mix well and serve hot.
