How to play 2048

About 2048
2048 is played on a 4×4 grid. Every move slides all the tiles, so the whole board shifts at once — the skill is in choosing moves that set up merges rather than scattering tiles.
The standard strategy is to lock your highest tile into one corner and never move in the direction that would dislodge it. Build a descending row alongside it and merge into that row. There is no clock, so take the time to think a move through.
