Kali Mirch Chicken Recipe(NON-VEG RECIPE)

Inviting and irresistible, it is a simple white coloured chicken curry where the base of curry is prepared using curd, which is flavoured with lots of black pepper.

Though black pepper is the star ingredient in this curry, I have also used other spices such as coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder to make it even more delicious.

Make sure that you don’t add red chilli powder and turmeric powder in this curry, as it will change the colour as well as the flavours of this creamy curry.

Onions and green chillies are added to add a little spice and texture to this curry.

    Recipe:

    • Step 1

      To prepare this mouth-watering recipe, marinate the chicken with curd, salt, turmeric powder and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder. Keep it aside for 1 hour. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.

      Next, heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and fry them over medium flame for 5 minutes.

      Add mint leaves and saute well. Add the chopped onions and stir till they turn golden brown in color. After that, add the ginger-garlic paste and stir till the ingredients mix well.

    • Step 4

      Next, add the marinated chicken to the pan and stir. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a medium flame till the chicken becomes soft and starts releasing moisture.

    • Step 5

      Once the chicken is cooked, add garam masala and the rest of the black pepper and stir well. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Your Kali Mirch Chicken is ready. You can serve this mouth-watering recipe with pulao and salad.
