Goan Veg Sorak Curry is a traditional Goan recipe made with kokum, red chilies, coconut and a melange of spices. This easy recipe is made within few easy steps and does not require much efforts. This main dish recipe can be served for lunch and dinner and goes well with cooked rice or chapattis to make it even more scrumptious.

In a blender add cumin seeds, red kashmiri chili, turmeric powder, grated coconut, coriander seeds, 1 small onion and garlic cloves. Grind the ingredients well with desire amount of water to form a smooth paste. Keep aside for a while.

Now take a pan put it over the medium flame, add coconut oil with 1 sliced onion and saute till it becomes crisp. Then add the ground paste with slit green chillies, kokum pieces and salt as per your taste. Saute for a couple of minutes.

Then add the desired amount of water and simmer for about 5-10 minutes, until done. Then remove from heat and serve hot with cooked rice, enjoy!
