Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoon barley
  • 4 tablespoon lentil
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 6 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 2 cup water
  • black pepper as required
  • salt as required
  • 4 teaspoon refined oil
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrot

  • Step 1

    To prepare with this delicious soup recipe, wash barley and lentils separately in a bowl and keep aside till required. Put a pressure cooker on medium flame and heat oil in it. Next, add the chopped onions and garlic cloves and saute well till till light brown in colour.

  • Step 2

    Once sauteed, add the washed lentil, barley, chopped carrots, and salt to the cooker along with two cups of water.

  • Step 3

    Pressure cook it for about 2-3 whistles. Once cooked, open the lid of the cooker and add finely chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, and black pepper powder to taste. Cook again for one more whistle.

  • Step 4

    Serve hot along with your choice of bread.
