  • Step 1

    To prepare this easy recipe, put a deep-bottomed pan over medium flame and heat ghee in it. When the ghee is melted, add the grated papaya in it and cook for about 10 minutes. Keep on stirring until the fruit releases all its juices and changes colour.

  • Step 2

    Once the papaya is cooked or roasted, add sugar to it and continue cooking until you see the ghee separating.

  • Step 3

    Now, add milk powder and green cardamom powder to this cooked papaya and mix well. Stir continuously and let the halwa cook for another 10 minutes on medium flame.

  • Step 4

    Once the halwa is prepared, garnish with halved cashews and serve hot!
