Paneer in White Gravy is a creamy, rich dish where Paneer cubes are simmered in an onion cashew nut-based white gravy. It is a popular dish in most Indian restaurants and goes well with Indian bread. Paneer In White Gravy is different than your usual rich Paneer curries and you will definitely fall in love with its smooth and silky texture from the first bite itself. This Mughlai style Paneer Curry has a rich texture and white color from the use of cashews, yogurt, and fresh cream.

Step 1
Cut Paneer in cubes and keep aside. Then, cut onions into big pieces and boil in 3/4 cup water. When onions are boiled, grind them to a fine puree.

Now, heat ghee in a pan and add green cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and bay leaf, and fry for 1/2 minute.

Now add onion paste, garlic paste, and fry. Add green chilies, red chilies, and saboot dhania, and fry the whole mixture for few more seconds.

Beat Curd and add in gravy. Add salt and cook till ghee separates on slow fire. Now finally put paneer cubes and sugar. Garnish with dhania and your dish is ready to eat.

I haven't tried it myself but if you want to make this vegan: replace plain whole milk yogurt with plain almond milk yogurt, cream with coconut milk, and paneer with tofu. If you do try to make this vegan, let me know. I would love to know how it turned out.
