Methi Puri is a crisp and tasty tea time, deep-fried snack prepared and flavoured with fenugreek leaves. it is a crisp and tasty snack that is generally prepared during the festival seasons of Diwali to share with family and friends. it can also be a simple evening tea time snack or kids snacks recipes.
Indian cuisine deals with several tea time snacks which are generally made from chickpea flour or perhaps with plain flour. but methi poori is a unique wheat-based crisp and flat puri made with fenugreek leaves. it offers a combination of savoury and bitter taste which makes it unique from other snacks.
Ingredients:
- 3 Cup of Wheat Flour
- 1/2 Cup of semolina
- 1tp Spoon Black Peper Powder
- 1tp Spoon Cumin Seeds
- 1/2tp Spoon Carom seeds
- 1/2tp Spoon Turmeric Powder
- Red Chilli Powder (As Per Test)
- 1/2tp Spoon Asafoetida
- Salt (As Per Test)
- 1tp Spoon White Sesame Seeds
- 1 Cup of Fenugreek Leaves
- 4tp Spoon Hot Ghee
- Water (As Per Needed)
- Oil (For Deep Fry)
સામગ્રી:
- 3 કપ ઘઉંનો લોટ
- 1/2 કપ સોજી
- 1ચમચી મરી પાવડર
- 1 ચમચી જીરું
- 1/2 ચમચી અજમો
- 1/2 ચમચી હળદર પાવડર
- લાલ મરચું પાવડર (ટેસ્ટ મુજબ)
- 1/2 ચમચી હીંગ
- મીઠું (સ્વાદ અનુસાર)
- 1 ચમચી સફેદ તલ
- 1 કપ મેથીની પાંદડા
- 4 ચમચી ગરમ ઘી
- પાણી (જરૂરી મુજબ)
- તેલ (તળવા માટે)
Notes:
- firstly, adding ghee to flour gives a nice flavour to methi ki puri and also makes it crispy.
- additionally, fry on low to medium flame for crunchy and flaky layers.
