Gujarati Snack Farali Chevdo
The key ingredient for Farali chevdo is potato. Potato is peeled, washed, and shredded. You can then prepare Bateta or Aloo (Potato) prepare two ways. You can simply fry shredded potato till golden brown and crispy or you can also make this with sundried potato sticks if you want to make it quick and easy. but the taste and texture will be slightly different. I make both ways. I personally prefer dried shredded potato sticks for easy recipes. Then the fried potato sticks are mixed with fried nuts like peanut and spices and herbs.
Ingredients:
- 4 Pieces of Potato
- Water (As Per Needed)
- Oil (For Deep Fry)
- 1 Cup of Peanut
- 1/2Cup Of Cashew
- Red Chilli Powder (As Per Test)
- Salt (As Per Test)
- 1/2tp Spoon Sugar Powder
સામગ્રી:
- 4 નંગ બટાકા
- પાણી (જરૂર મુજબ)
- તેલ (તળવા માટે)
- 1 કપ મગફળીનો
- 1/2 કપ કાજુ
- લાલ મરચું પાવડર (ટેસ્ટ મુજબ)
- મીઠું (પરીક્ષણ મુજબ)
- 1/2 ચમચી ખાંડ પાવડર
During Navratri and other fasting days, we need some snacks or munchies along with the main course meals. As there are only a few options to use during fasting, so often we have to try something mainly with potato, banana and yam. This aloo chivda can be easily used during fasting.
